Customer advice: Major disruption due to a trespassing incident - Friday 17 April
Last updated: 14:28, Friday 17 April
Unfortunately, we experienced major disruption to services last night (Thursday 16 April) following a complex trespass incident between Newark North Gate and Retford. As a result, customers travelling experienced significant delays and cancellation to services.
Many trains and crew were displaced, and we are still working to recover from the disruption and get trains and crews back to the right locations. Please note that we have had to make alterations to services today (Friday 17 April). East Coast Mainline services are still subject to delays and cancellations for the rest of the delay. If you are due to travel by rail today, please double check your service before you travel here.
For more information about the incident and what made it so significant, you can read our latest update here.
If you have been impacted by this disruption please accept our sincere apologies.
